Data protection policy
1. Rights to information
Pursuant to Act 15/1999, of 13 December, on personal data protection (LOPD), and to the rules that govern it as approved by Royal Decree 1720/2007, of 21 December, the Catalonia Competitiveness Agency, hereinafter ACC1Ó, hereby informs the user that it holds personal electronic data files, for the purposes of maintaining and managing relations with those who request information or users that have accessed the Agency’s website through the electronic forms posted on it, or through email messages. The files have been duly registered with the Data Protection Agency.
You are hereby informed that for the good performance and attainment of its objectives, ACC1Ó may disclose your personal data to third parties that provide data processing services to ACC1Ó for the purposes listed above.
Certain services offered on the website may be subject to specific terms and conditions with regard to personal data protection.
2. Purpose
The data provided by users are collected by ACC1Ó for the purposes of managing your application, securing the services requested, as well as providing you with information about services that may be of interest to you.
3. User’s consent
The sending of data, whether by means of the electronic forms or email messages, implies that senders give their express consent to their data being electronically processed in the aforementioned communication media. This data shall also be used by ACC1Ó to send you information about its services by electronic means or by post. Users likewise give express authorisation for the disclosure of their data to third parties domiciled both in Spain and abroad that provide data processing services to ACC1Ó for the abovementioned purposes. The consent given by users for their data to be processed, to receive commercial information by electronic means or by post, or the international transfer of data as provided for herein is not binding nor shall it have retroactive effects, as provided for in the legislation in force.
The user warrants that the personal data provided to ACC1Ó are true and shall be responsible for notifying ACC1Ó of any modifications to them.
4. Rights to access, rectify, contest and cancel data by clients and users
Users may exercise their rights to access, rectify, contest and cancel the processing of their personal data, as provided for under the terms and conditions of the LOPD, by writing to dades[arrova]acc10.cat.
5. Security
ACC1Ó maintains the security levels for the protection of your personal data in compliance with Royal Decree 1720/2007, of 21 December, which approves the rules that govern Organic Law 15/1999, of 13 December, on personal data protection, and it has put the technical means available to it in place to prevent the loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorised access and theft of the data users provide through the website, notwithstanding the duty to inform them that Internet security measures are not failsafe.
ACC1Ó undertakes to comply with its duty to secrecy and confidentiality with regard to the data contained in the electronic data file, as provided for in the applicable legislation, as well as ensuring security measures are implemented in the international transfer and dispatch of data that may take place.
